Mushrooms are plants, true of false?

Mushrooms have some similarities to plants.

They have cell walls, root-like structures, and can move certain parts by themselves. Some restaurants might even put edible mushrooms as a type of vegetable on a menu!

But that’s not true. Mushrooms belong to another group of living things called fungi. Many students are stumped by this fact and it’s difficult to explain to them.

Let your child watch the video below so they can understand better!

At KooBits, we have a library of videos to teach such misconceptions. Our team of educators have designed these videos to be easy-to-understand, yet effective in helping students to understand their mistakes.

Parents can use these videos to teach their children at home, while students can watch them at any time to keep up with the school’s syllabus.

These videos are only available in KooBits Science.
